ABOUT ME

I am a Virtual Assistant based in Eastbourne, East Sussex, with over 15 years of administration and research experience. I love getting things organised and focusing on the details which can make a project or business thrive.

Before becoming a Virtual Assistant I managed the administration of the Gateways to the First World War public engagement centre, a major project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. In this role I was responsible for all elements of the administration of the project and I supported a team of researchers based around the UK. I organised over 100 events during my time on the project and our team supported 73 community and voluntary organisations to make successful National Lottery Heritage Fund applications totalling £2,314,502.

Previously, I was employed as a Research Excellence Framework Officer at the University of Kent, which involved researching, writing and developing reports and documents to support the evaluation of the School of History's research and impact activities.

In 2021 I launched a non-profit organisation, Star Creative Heritage, with my colleague Dr Sam Carroll, which I operate alongside my Virtual Assistant business. I provide the administrative support for our current project, Sweet Thames: The London Folk Club Project.

In my earlier career I managed human resources administration for a school and local authority and have experience in customer service roles.

I'm also Mum to two small girls and love spending family time in our beautiful home town of Eastbourne.
