ABOUT ME

I am a Virtual Assistant based in Eastbourne, East Sussex, with over 15 years' experience of administration and research. I love getting things organised and focusing on the details which can make a project or business thrive.

I’ve worked as a freelance administrator since 2020, supporting charities, small businesses, larger organisations, and CICs. My work has included coordinating successful tender applications, managing advertising schedules, updating and curating website content, supporting both online and in-person events, and providing comprehensive administrative support across a wide range of projects.

Before becoming a Virtual Assistant, I managed the administration of the Gateways to the First World War public engagement centre, a major Arts and Humanities Research Council-funded project, where I was responsible for all aspects of administration and supported a team of researchers across the UK. I organised over 100 events during my time on the project and our team supported 73 community and voluntary organisations to make successful National Lottery Heritage Fund applications totalling £2,314,502. I also worked as a Research Excellence Framework Officer at the University of Kent, researching, writing, and developing reports to evaluate and showcase departmental research and impact activities.

In 2021 I launched a non-profit organisation, Star Creative Heritage, with my colleague Dr Sam Carroll, which I operate alongside my Virtual Assistant business. I provided the administrative support for our  project, Sweet Thames: The London Folk Club Project.

In my earlier career I managed HR  administration for a school and local authority and gained valuable experience in customer service roles.

Outside of work, I'm Mum to two girls and love spending family time in our beautiful home town of Eastbourne.
