STAR CREATIVE HERITAGE

Working with communities to explore and uncover their heritage.

In 2021, I collaborated with my colleague Dr Sam Carroll to launch a non-profit organisation, Star Creative Heritage. Our aim was to use our experience working in history, heritage, community and project management roles to develop activities and projects which enable communities to discover their heritage.

In 2022 we were awarded funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund for an exciting new project, Sweet Thames: The London Folk Club project. Through the project we are researching, preserving and sharing the heritage of London folk clubs by collecting oral history interviews with a team of volunteers.

These interviews will be archived at the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library and will form the basis of a travelling exhibition launched in February 2023 and performances being developed for Summer 2023.
